Boreal Bluet - Agrion boréal
(Enallagma boreale)

Female Boreal/Northern/Vernal Bluets look very similar to each other and cannot be reliably identified unless examined under a microscope.   This individual is assumed to be a Boreal Bluet because it was captured in tandem with a male Boreal Bluet.   After I released it, I watched as it flew down to the ground and I took this photo.   When I tried to get closer for a better photo, it flew off and dissapeared in the nearby vegetation so it was the only photo I managed to take.
